: We forgot one thing. Maglor didn't die. I think it was left that he threw his Silmaril into the Sea and wandered its shores singing songs of woe. I don't know if his final fate was ever decided. For all we know, he still hasn't been to Mandos.: Russ Not at all, I do not forget and that happens to be one of the issues about The Silmarillion and the history of Middle Earth that really, really bugs me. *What the hell happened to Maglor?* To have to wander for ever, the shores (no matter how pretty) of a land with (apparantly) no chance of forgiveness is utterly heartless of the part of any being, be they Valar or not! If any of the Sons of Feanor deserved a break, it was Maglor, and yet he seems to have been tarred with the same brush as the rest of his siblings and cast aside as a bad idea. This is neither a satisfactory, nore a fair ending for a person who showed genuine remorse! Padster
