Would he let his fear be known idly? I doubt it. If he could smite down the Witch-King as easily as you say, he shouldn't have been worried in the slightest, because, as you know, when the champion of Mordor went down almost every singal one of the armies men tried to flee.

: Gandalf walked away from a slain Balrog, which i believe is more powerful than a Nazgul, agreed not without cost, but in his White-Rider phase, the Black Captain should not have been a problem

Then why did he even hesitate going out to do battle? He could have done the happy Mexican hat dance on his head. I think there must be somthing about the Witch-King, a power of somesort, that we missed.
