Would he let his fear be known idly? I doubt it. If he could smite down the Witch-King as easily as you say, he shouldn't have been worried in the slightest, because, as you know, when the champion of Mordor went down almost every singal one of the armies men tried to flee.

: I don't know, he was pretty knowlagable. There's a good chance that in his traveles an encient mexican Sage told him the might of "Happy Mexican Hat Dance." But anyway, the point was, if he could down the Witch King like that, the others would run. That was proved after Merry and Eowyn (Or whatever) killed him.
