Trying to be logical about the whole thing, I would have thought that Gollum would have been very, very pale. He did after all lve for many hundreds of years untouched by the Sun.Also, depending on what colour hair he had to begin with, he should have had a dark version. Sun bleaches hair colour (at least it does mine), therefore no Sun, no bleaching! Whatever! I don't think anyone's gonna loose sleep over it. Cheers

PS This brings me to one of my big beefs with AD&D and Drow. An underground race, decended from the topside version, developes black skin and white hair. Yeh right! It should have been black hair and white skin if anything! But then what do I care I gave up AD&D years and years ago!
