I checked out the web page in question. It is more appropriate to say it is a moderated discussion similar to this august web page - as long as ideas are kept polite, there's no removal (at least that's my take. I don't remember the exact wording on the page).

By the way, Tim - if you are open to other ideas I'd love to discuss atheism vs. theism with you some time. Obviously it doesn't belong on the Tolkien message board. Send me an email sometime!
