I hate to be the burster of bubbles, but Aragorn was only 10 years old at the time and (supposedly) living in Rivendell. He must have met Bilbo, but Tolkien doesn't really tell us much about their friendship.

I'm afraid that Bilbo's rescuer is just some nameless Northman of Esgaroth who, perhaps, may later on have settled in Dale. But he probably would have been dead by the time Bilbo returned to Dale.
