: : When Bilbo and the Dwarves arrive at Rivendell in The Hobbit : they are greated by someone who is described as a young fellow. : Could this be Aragorn? 'Well, well!' said a voice. 'Just look! Bilbo the hobbit on a pony, my dear! Isn't it delicious!' 'Most astonishing wonderful!' Then off they went into another song as ridiculous as the one I have written down in full. At least one, a tall young fellow, came out from the trees and bowed to Gandalf and to Thorin.
Well, keeping in mind that Aragorn would have been only ten years old at the time, and that he didn't even exist as a character when Tolkien wrote this passage, I would have to say it's your call to make.
