: : Actually, when you think of it, anyone who would bother to remain true to Tolkien's vision does have a wealth of material for prequels (The Hobbit and many of the Silmarillion stories). Many of us are already making our own sequels, prequels and whatsit by roleplaying in Endor- so, we are as bad as the Hollywood filmmakers, though I suspect for different reasons ie. not to make money but for the love of the tale.
