If I knew how common e.g silver is, I could create a monetary system that had some connection to ME, though I hate this "1 gold-piece = 10 silver-pieces" Easy options are to use either the system devised by ICE for MERP, or take some ancient system; Roman, Medieval, rennaissance, or even a modern one- just take one from another culture or one which is 100 years old or both. You are the gamemaster so YOU decide.
