Depending on how his projected costs go, my agent says I may have a contract within a week or two. I hope I didn't just jinx the deal. :): I'm looking for a cartographer right now. I'm awaiting samples for two to arrive by snail mail, but if anyone knows of a Tolkien-knowledgeable cartographer who doesn't charge an arm and a leg, please email me with contact info and some background and I'll be glad to add them to my list of prospects. : Assuming this all goes through as quickly as possible (and I guess I should expect delays in the process), then the book will be published in hardback next year. If the deal falls through, then I guess we'll just go back to shopping it around.
