Something which has long troubled me about Tolkien's description of the Numenoreans is this:

Supposedly, most of the people who went to Numenor were of the people of Hador, that is to say, tall and blond. However, all the Dunedain we see in Middle Earth seem to be dark-haired and grey-eyed, like the people of Beor. How does this work? What happened to all those Hadorians??
