: I still can't see her wearing plate armorand wielding a two-handed sword. Sorry, maybe a bow will fit better but only slightly better. Why does she have to have any material weapons at all? Yes even the Elves used bows, but Arwen, as has been noted elsewhere, was of a very high lineage. Do we know what inherent powers the most noble of the Elves had? Arwen of course didn't have a ring of power, but did she have any powers of her own, lesser than Gandalf, but greater than such creatures as orcs and trolls? I don't want to stray too far into a Bewitched scenario and make Arwen into a sorceress, but it still seems to me that the Elves kept a greater part of their true power hidden. That brings into question the rings themselves. I don't remember if the Elves put their power into the rings they wore, just as Sauron did, or if the rings themselves gave the wearers more power than they might have had. What's the truth of this matter?
