SNIP: She was a mover and shaker in the Second and Third centuries and she was responsible for forming the White Council (in the book, not this board). SNIP You sure about her not creating this board, Michael?;) Otherwise good points. I'm getting a bit tired to hear about how protected and fragile the elf-women should be (i.e. why Arwen shouldn't ride and fight). Beren was lucky to have Luthien (as you've mentioned). She was as far from soft-hearted and weak as one can get. As was Galadriel. Goodgulf also made a couple of good points farther down this board about "purists", Arwens role and the Appendix. I think he's right about the strangeness in not showing the audience what motivates Aragorn to travel in the wilderness, thus motivating PJ to show us more of Arwen. My 2 kronor Mjolnir
