: Eddings character interaction is one of the bet ive read... specifically in the Sparhawk novels. He also has a rich land fully populated with myth, legend and a history that is more then one dimensional.I enjoyed Eddings' first series, but in the way I enjoy bubblegum. Tolkien is prime rib. Eddings was fun, interesting, and I did laugh at his dialogue, but ultimately, it was the same thing over, and over, and over and over. Even the characters joked about it that the same things kept happening Russ
