: Any credibility you had is gone when you say something like that. If you think the "Black" Gandalf was talking about in this case was Saruman, you obviously don't know anything about anything about that, you have no business writing about Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings. And if you don't know Tolkien's symbolism and whether or not he was racist. It's so obvious. He's talking about his SILVER HORSE riding against Saruman's black horse? I think not, because Saruman did not have a black horse. So it had to mean the black steeds of Mordor.

I try to answer you yet again. Maybe this time it won't be removed? You should make yourself more known with the matter of debate.

1) I've maid it clear in abundance that the black I'm speaking about is NOT Saruman (that's my main point), but evil in general.
So we agree :)

2) I make no comment on racism. That's why this debate got started in the first place. I don't think Tolkiens symbology should be mixed in with a debate on racism.

3) I've maid it clear in several of my posts below that 'silver' represents Shadowfax no need to tell me :)

4) I know quite alot about Tolkien and LotR ( I hate false modesty :).
