I'm not sure if I should apologize or not. I'm sort of unclear what you meant about Saruman in your little aside to Olorin a few posts back. If you're saying that when Gandalf said his little thing about Silver against black, he meant specifically Saruman as the black, you're wrong. But if you were talking about the collective evil that included Saruman then I think you could be partially correct. I'm pretty sure they (Aragorn, Gimli, and Legolas) were talking about Gandalf as the White Rider in comparison to the Black Riders (don't have LotR in front of me though), so I think Gandalf was specifically talking about his silver steed compared to their black steeds. But I think an arguement could be made in your favor to a certain degree, though I'm not sure I'd buy into it.
