: I'm taking a poll of my own, and I was wondering why and how long ago each of you read the THE HOBBIT and/or LORD OF THE RINGS and/or THE SILMARILLION.

: Witch book(s) did you read first: I started with The Hobbit followed by LOTR,(I read it in five days) >The Silmarillion and then Unfinished Tales. Later I have read about half of the books in the HoME series

: Why did you read it: I saw the begining of the film LOTR and wanted to know the rest of the story. Then I got more and more addicted each time I read a new book.

: What year was it or are you still reading it: I think I read The Hobbit in 1996, LOTR a year later and of course I`m still reading them.

: I originally read The Hobbit about one and a half years ago, because I had seen some of Tolkien's pictures and I love art (as long it is clean, if you know what I mean) so I wanted to read the book so I could let my imagination go wild. Then after I read The Hobbit I wanted more, so I read the Lord of the Rings and I am now in the middle of The Silmarillion.
: I hope this is easier.

Enjoy The Silmarillion
