Khazad-dum was probably home to one of the seven hoards. It was more than likely lost when the Dwarves abandoned Khazad-dum, although I suppose it's reasonable to assume they took some of their treasures with them. The hoard of Erebor was presumably not as great as the wealth of Khazad-dum, though it was nonetheless a great hoard.

As for the other six hoards, we know nothing of them. We can guess they were in the ancestral homes of the four eastern Dwarf tribes, but the Firebeards and Broadbeams of the Ered Luin had lost their ancient cities (Nogrod and Belegost) so presumably their hoards were in newer, unnamed halls.
