: Such things are what I am scared of might happen in the LOTR-movie too; that they feel they need to make Gollum very "funny", or put in silly scenes to give the audience cheap laughs. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against using humour in films; but it needs to come naturally, not be forced in merely for its own sake.

:I agree...i didn't like Jar-Jar Binks,too...but what alarms me more is the character designs for Orcs and Balrogs. I just don't want to see a Balrog with horns,or Orcs with modified pigs' heads,with or without tusks. I like the designs for the Ringwraiths in the LOTR cartoon, NOT the plain, black-hooded ones that hacked at the empty beds, but the ones with armor and headgear that got drowned in the flooded river-I especially like the helmet of the Nazgul lord.

Another thing I'm worried about is how they'll use special visual effects in the movie. I hope it doesn't turn out to be a light show. I'd like the effects to be seamless and natural, not just there to dazzle.

Anyway I'm thankful that somebody's brave enough to make a movie out of LOTR. :) !!!!!
