: Tolkien did not authorize its publication.Actually, THE SILMARILLION was nowhere near finished format at Tolkien's death. The (Middle-earth) books published in Tolkien's lifetime would be: THE HOBBIT, 1st - 3rd editions

THE ROAD GOES EVER ON
THE ADVENTURES OF TOM BOMBADIL
