: Any thoughts of the Gor => Cor possibility. This would mirror
: the shift of calen to galen in Tol Galen (limnation I think its
: called). Since Cor- appears to mean "mound" (Corollaire, "The
: Green Mound" of the Two Trees)that might be an avenue to
: consider.

I don't really understand the process. But I believe you mean Cor => Gor.

: The only instance of -thad I found was "arthad" as in the Feast
: of Reuniting.

Mereth Aderthad. Aderthad = at(ad) + erthad. The only "arthad" I can find is one of Bahahir's companions.

"adu" in "adurant" comes from "atta", which shifted to "tad" in one variation.

I suppose another possible root might be "garth" (a fenced fort), but I don't see how it could be transformed to "gorth" (nor what the transformation would imply).
