: now that we are talking about Christopher Tolkien, does anybody know anything about further unpublished manuscripts?: Are any further books in the HoME series likely to appear. Sorry, no. Peoples was the last book in the series. It said so on the back cover.:-( : There are rumours around that there is a considerable quantity of unpublished information on Tolkien's langauges (grammar, dictionaries and the like) stored in the Bodleian library. : Is it true that the Tolkien Trust is refusing to allow this to be published, and even refusing to allow scholars to see these documents? If so, why? Well, they are stereotypically known for being paranoid. : There are also rumours that there is a further batch of Father Christmas letters around somewhere. Apparently, Father Christmas used to write once in the summer and once in the winter, yet only the winter letters are published. Anybody know more? Maybe the summer letters are from Father Christmas' "Green Cousin" who supposedly lived at the South Pole. ? : I have also heard rumours that a book is in preparation on the history and creation of *The Hobbit*. This is not being edited by Christopher but by somebody else. Can anybody say who is doing it, and when this book is likely to be published? I hope this is true. Where did you here this? : Are these mere rumours. Does anybody know of anything? I hope they aren't rumors. Also, after the movie is completed, they might have "The Making of The Lord of the Rings" or "The Art of Middle-earth" and give away some new information; but this is mere speculation.
