I think most people on this board, including myself, share your concerns about what Jackson is doing. I am growing increasingly concerned that Jackson has not grasped the greater beauty and underlying essence of Tolkien's universe. How else could he make such tuthless changes? I realise Jackson does have Tom Shippey advising him on certain points, such as pronounciation, but also know of another expert (Klozco) who offered him assistance in other areas but was kindly told this would not be required.
