I did just a quick check in a lexicon, but haven't looked up anything in the OED or in actual texts. In addition to aelfscinu, there is aelfadle- elf adled usually translated as having a nightmare, aelflich-elf like, and a few other compounds. My quick check confirms what someone else said, and really what Tolkien says about Faerie in On Faerie Stories--the "elf" is other-neither good nor bad, perhaps both, but in any case other than what we are, higher if you will.
