Also, He can't remove ears, use machine guns, get attacked by vampires ( although the Nazgul may do it) and he would probably want a part in the film... Some interesting choices. How about Russel Mulcahy? He directed the first Highlander film(watch the directors cut) and The Shadow. He's got some great camera work and makes sure the special effects are a tool for the movie not a reason for the movie.
