I have read all of Jordans works and believe me he does not compare to the master Tolkien. The concept is good and I enjoy the way he writes but he is constantly off the topic...I do believe he spent one whole chapter talking about the neckline on one the main characters dress. Fact is Jordans books just dont have the unbelievable depth of tolkiens middle-earth. Tolkien created languages, alphabets, number systems and a time system just for middle-earth. Tolkien was a part of his writing and middle-earth was a part of him. Jordan is more like a cash milking cowboy. He writes these long series without the depth and magic to bring in the dough. I will admit some of his books are enjoyable but he just lags it on too long.Whos your daddy?...Tolkien is your daddy! Just my two cents.
