I think Jordans writing is good and at time i enjoy his work. Bottom line is he just cannot be compared with Tolkien. Like I said before Tolkien was part of Middle-Earth and it was part of him. When Middle-Earth died in him he died (my theory:-)). Middle-Earth wasnt just a ring and some hobbits. It was a complete detailed history on every race and event. It was carefuly invented languages. Tolkien started created all of this with some old dusty mythology books and his imagination. Robert Jordan read Tolkiens books and created the WoT on a frame of LotR (for the first few books). Whos your daddy?
