I didn't introduce myself. Thanks for having me on the board. This has already been enormous fun. I've been a big Tolkien fan for a long time, and it's great to exchange ideas with other true fans.I apologize in advance if I ever sound too confrontational. I'm a philosophy professor, and I'm afraid that I've been trained to develop a pretty argumentative style. I don't ever mean to hurt anyone's feelings or put anyone down.
