: snip: : Not to shaby for a two dwarf crew, but amount of material : : moved by untold numbers of dwarves laboring daily for untold : : years staggers the imagination. : Exactly, that that's not taking into consideration any natural : formed caves or caverns, or any alternate types of ore that : would be easier to work, or if the dwarves had shifts that : worked at all hours. : I definately staggers the mind, and makes Khazad-dum that much : more real! You can probably add about 3-4,000 years to your time estimate. The Dwarves awoke soon after the Elves, if the Petty-dwarves really reached Beleriand first. Your time estimate only goes back to the beginning of the First Age of the Sun, but Khazad-dum was already ancient by the time the sun first rose. : -RobRoy
