: This isn't a question; I just realized that by the time of the WR Aragorn was only 1 year younger than Denethor. I hadn't thought that Aragorn was around 80 years old by LotR; but I suppose that makes sense when one remembers his lecture to Eowyn about being in Rohan long before she was born.
