What was it exactly that L. Greenleaf shot down with his new trusty G-Bow? If it was a Nazgul steed, was it the same type of creature the LOTN used in the assault on Gondor? Were all of the Nazgul given the same type of winged steed? What do you think they were? And why wait until the last to use them? 9 of these creatures (if they were all similar to the one slain by Eowyn) would have been invaluble in attacking the fellowship before they made it into Rivendell.... I ask because the description in ROTK sounds like the steed was unique: Sauron "nursed IT with fell meats until IT grew beyond all other things that fly" (or something like that....) even though plainly, all the Nazgul had winged steeds of some sorts...
