: J.R.R. Tolkien never said the Mouth of Sauron extended his life.

I was just about to fire off a response stating that the MOS did indeed extend his life w/ his sorceries. While I didn't think he was from the SA I was cock sure the text did say he was able to extend his life to some degree. Then I looked it up and lo and behold it mentions absolutely NO WHERE that he extended his life. In fact there's no reference to anything like that at all. Amazing how the mind, ageing ever faster, plays tricks on you.
