In my view of things while there was a definite ranking among the Maiar as far as their power goes I've never seen any evidence that this ranking worked out in a way that put some Maiar in any kind of leadership role. In other words, I don't think that in Aman Saruman was, say, Gandalf's boss. The Valar were the bosses and Manwe THE boss. What might you think?I agree with this. At least in Valinor I can't imagine some maiar assuming positions of leadership over others.
