I'm wondering just how this would work? What would be a conceivable "mechanism" for elven re-encarnation? Would, say, Manwe draw a spirit from the Halls of Mandos and then...what? Give the elf a new body and then toss him right back among his people? How would they reappear into the world and their society? What of their former self (memories, skills, powers) would remain in their new form, and what would their position be? If Finwe were to be re-embodied, would he then assume the High Kingship of the Noldor again? -Foradan
