: TheOneRing.Net has posted an item about a long lost J.R.R. Tolkien recording. I'm listening to it as I write this. He recorded a part of "Of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit" in 1952 and the recording quality is quite good. This is a very lengthy recording, and Tolkien does voices for both Sam and Gollum. They are very distinct.: I've provided a direct link to the RealAudio file below. Excellent. Maybe it's me, but does Tolkien's Gollum sound a bit like Yoda? :) Hearing that file, caused me to remember a set of LP's a friend of mine had back in the late 70's. I think the records were Tolkien reading The Hobbit, but I'm not sure. Do you, or anyone else, remember any such records?
