I hope the rumored book by Christopher Tolkien remains just that.
The plodding dusty prose of the Silmarlion was enough.Although no one could match the gentle humor and unabashed earnestness of old JRR, some new tales would be welcomed. As a Sherlock Holmes enthusiast, I admit that the imitations are often poor, but the 7% Solution and West End Horror hold up well. Maybe someone could write about the further adventures of Merry and Pippen. Or trouble could brew for Aragon's son (whatshisname?) after he assumes the crown. Just a thought
