I delighted to hear that the works of Milton, Shakespeare and other DWEMs are still being taught at Harvard. Press reports of their demise have perhaps been exaggerated. I believe that in the end the merely fashionable and trendy in literature will fall by the wayside. Works of enduring value will continued to be treasured by literate people. Good luck in your studies. (And Uncle Tom's Cabin is actually a pretty entertaining novel, at least I thought so when I read it 20 years or so ago.)
