: -ThentaranI believe it was the diminishment of elven power as whole. While indivigually they would have the same strengths, elves as a group would begin to have less and less influence on the world around them. It would be similiar to political movement/party that wields great power, but gradually over the years turns into a fringe or minority movement/party with little or no political power.
