: Q. Is it all Galadriels fault?

: If Galadriel had given Feanor a lock of her hair when he begged
: her, would this have satisfied his desire for the Light of the
: Two Trees, therefore he wouldn't have made the Silmarils, which
: would have prevented the Revolt of the Noldor, the Ruin of
: Beleriand and the events leading up to the War of the Ruin etc.

That's an interesting question, but I think it goes back to Iluvatar's decision to give being to the Music of the Ainur. Elves and Men were a part of his third theme, which the Ainur had no part in, though Melkor strove against it. Iluvatar wanted to bring into being the goodness and beauty that Elves and Men would be responsible for, and he was willing to abide the inevitable evil which must arise because of Melkor's defiance.

Hence, even if Galadriel had agreed and Feanor had been set upon a different course, the Noldor might still have suffered the fall of pride, because Melkor still would have gone among them. Their sins weren't all due to Feanor.
