I personally think that Ar-Pharazon did't know about the one.. but if he did.. and he did demand it there is no doubt he would have surcoumbed to its power.u see in LOTR that Galadriel and Gandulf and Elrond don't want to take it them selves... they don't trust themsleves to be able to with stand the power... but then u have Tom Bombadil.. who looked at the One ring.. had a little giggle.. threw it up in the air.. and took it so lightly... he is someone who the ring has no power over... the others feared it somewhat in the least...
