: Lee left New Zealand some weeks ago, although they wouldn't necessarily have to have him for additional shots of Saruman. But there is no scene where hobbits leave Minas Tirith by night in the story, and I can't imagine why they would alter the story so radically.The only other night scenes I can think of are the fellowship's encounter with the wolves,and when the hobbits first return to the Shire. It seems that both of those scenes would have been shot before now, but you never know.
