Cold Winter Mornings

Cold winter's mornings I really dread,
while snuggled nice and warm in my bed.
Now, some people un-cover and jump right out,
but I question their sanity, without a doubt.

So I sneak out slowly, part by part,
or the sudden shock might stop my heart.
Should it be too cold for fingers or toes,
They say no, and back under the covers they goes.

Once they are back under, I can't do a thing.
Except to stay in bed, wait for spring.
