Just for the heck of it I have decided to invent details relating to the Lords of Andunië on Númenor. Tolkien only gives us the names of four of the 18 Lords and tells us precious little else about them. I am wondering if there may have been any Ruling Ladies of Andunië (paralleling the Ruling Queens of Númenor).Can anyone think of any passage that explicitly excludes Ruling Ladies? For example is there a passage saying that Narsil or the Sceptre passed from father to son in direct descent over two ages? That would exclude Ruling Ladies. If Ruling Ladies are not explicitly excluded then I am tempted to put at least one of them on the list.
