So I guess we could conclude that perhaps not all people suck . . . since we would like to thank Tolkien's parents for their child, and I suppose that would mean thanking the entire Tolkien line, and I suppose also a culture that allowed that line to exist, and perhaps some of the previous cultures that gave rise to that culture . . . hmmmm, perhaps people aren't all bad after all.
