Is his power equal to the others, but all into fighting, whereas the other sons of the Vala were wise (except Gothmog, who probably was very powerful at one time, but became spent like Morgoth)?: Maedhros
Because in the earlier conceptions (ca. BoLT) he was a son of the Valar. Later he was a full Vala in his own right. Not a child of Aule and Yavanna at all.
