The sad thing is that, so far, of all the translation engines on the Web that I've tried, Alta Vista is the best. I didn't realize I was using a word with double meanings, "fan", when I wrote that letter. It came out as "ventiladores" (the Spanish word for fans, the devices we use to move air). I switched to "readers of Tolkien" in the French version. :)

I wonder if any of our Scandinavian friends would be interested in helping with this translation project?
