Gildor of the third age was IMO around in the first age as well.. so it isn't as though some elf in the TA hada kid and went "oh what was the name of that guy that hang out with Barahir in the FA?"Also thanx for the list... it furthers the point i made in my post in reply to ur other message.. that it was the Men that repeated names.. and almost nil elves had second hand names. u did miss a name though. Gilmir (1) - Son of Guilin, of a high house of Nargothrond; captured by Morgoth in the Dagor Bragollach. It was his maiming before the elven host at Barad Eithel that began the great battle of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. Gilmir (2) - A Noldorin Elf, originally of Angrod's people. After the Dagor Bragollach, he wandered into the southern regions of Beleriand, came with Aminas to Nargothrond to warn Orodreth of its peril. Ended up settling with the people of Círdan the Shipwright. if i had the rest of my Tolkien books i would give u more info Beren Valthôl
