: : No offence is intended but I would like to inquire if English is your (Vomact's) second language?.

: These kind of questions are not offending, but a bit imprecise.
: There are many, to whom English is not the First language or the mother tongue, who can still commmunicate in English fairly well. It is usually enough to get one's ideas expressed in a way that other people can understand them.

: A few grammatical mistakes or misspellings usually don't matter.
: I hope you are not implying that we, who are not native speakers of English shouldn't take part in these discussions.

: In fact English is my third (after Finnish and Punjabi) or even fourth (Swedish is, after all, the other official language in Finland ;>) language. The problem Vomact has is not his English but probably his arrogance.

No such implication is intended. I merely thought that if Vomact's native language was not English it might explain why he seems to be taking offence at other statements (some of which are in agreement with him), and apparently mis-stating his position due to 'poor' wording (for ecample the statement of Galadriel being the only Noldor not to take the Oath, though, by his later posts, this is not what he had intended to say). That is he might not be so familiar with English and this could lead to a misunderstanding of what is being written, causing the debate to become rather heated.
