: I heard that it does and it is used for kids in gifted programs. Joyce Brothers says it does but I want to know for sure.

Well it sure helped me! I started playing at thirteen, because I liked old sci fi films, like "It came from outer space", "Logans run" and "star wars", and now I do historical illustration, with a heavy emphasis towards Shakespeare and Goethe. If that it what you mean by help ?
my younger brothers, all shared the same RPG experiences, but neither of them are remotely interested in Shakespeare.
