: I don't recall this. However, you're correct about what I was referring to. According to E! Online's Force of Hobbit, Saruman's orcs (Uruk-Hai) are bred in pods, and when they emerge they have plate armor (metal, not leather) bonded to their bodies, or something strange like that.

If that comes true in the film, then its pretty awful!
